Polysomnography (PSG)

Polysomnography, often referred to as PSG, is a comprehensive sleep study conducted at Remaginesleep Diagnostic Center to diagnose various sleep disorders. During this non-invasive test, we monitor multiple physiological parameters while you sleep, including brain activity, eye movements, heart rate, breathing patterns, and more. These measurements help us accurately identify conditions such as sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy.

How It Works:

Preparation: Before the study, our team will provide you with instructions on how to prepare. You’ll be asked to avoid caffeine and alcohol and bring comfortable sleepwear.

Monitoring: In a comfortable and private room, we’ll attach sensors to your body using adhesive pads. These sensors will transmit data to our equipment, allowing us to analyze your sleep patterns.

Data Analysis: Our experienced sleep specialists will carefully analyze the collected data to provide an accurate diagnosis. This information is crucial for tailoring a personalized treatment plan.

Results and Treatment: After the analysis, we’ll discuss the results with you and recommend appropriate treatment options based on your diagnosis.

Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT)

Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT) offers a convenient and comfortable way to diagnose sleep apnea in the comfort of your own home. This portable monitoring device measures key parameters to assess breathing patterns, oxygen levels, and other sleep-related data.

How It Works:

Equipment Setup: Our team will provide you with the necessary equipment and instructions for setting up the HSAT device at home.

Monitoring: Wear the device while you sleep, and it will record data such as airflow, oxygen saturation, and heart rate.

Data Analysis: Once the study is complete, return the device to us. Our specialists will analyze the collected data to determine if sleep apnea is present.

Diagnosis and Treatment: Based on the analysis, we’ll discuss the results with you and recommend appropriate treatment options if sleep apnea is diagnosed.

Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)

The Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT) is designed to evaluate your ability to stay awake during periods of quiet and relaxation. This test is especially valuable for assessing daytime sleepiness and determining if you’re fit to engage in activities that require sustained alertness, such as driving.

How It Works:

Monitoring: You’ll be asked to stay awake in a calm and dimly lit room during designated test periods. Our equipment will monitor your alertness and response.

Data Analysis: Our sleep specialists will analyze the collected data to assess your ability to maintain wakefulness during the test periods.

Results and Recommendations: Based on the MWT results, we’ll discuss your level of daytime sleepiness and provide recommendations to help manage it effectively.
